A very beautiful old library

Julius Mosen Square is a small but well-known square in Oldenburg's city center, named after the poet and jurist Julius Mosen. Located near Herbartplatz, the square is a lively spot in the city due to its surrounding buildings and shops, such as the "Buddel Jungs" store (Wallstraße 15). It primarily serves as an inner-city traffic area and a meeting place.

🌉 The Hunte Bridge at Tillysee is an attractive spot along the Hunte River, often associated with the Hunte Cycle Path and the nearby Iburg. The bridge serves as an important crossing over the Hunte and is located in a scenic area that belongs to the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park.

🌊 Special features: At Tungeln, the river's course is regulated by the Tungeln weir. Historically, this is the point where the Hunte River was divided to protect the city of Oldenburg from flooding and to allow shipping.

The Peace Column is an important memorial site that plays a central role in the urban redevelopment of the area around Peace Square and Ofener Street.

The name "Peace Church" was deliberately chosen and is a direct reference to the Christian message of peace and a reminder in light of the historical events of the time.

A great destination. There are some lovely spots here for a nice break on a lovely bike ride.
