A view of the Rur River in Roermond combines nature, a waterscape, and the city's unique location at the confluence of the Rur and Meuse rivers. The Rur enters Roermond from the southeast, shaping the harbor and waterfront area around the Roerkade. Along the river, diverse perspectives unfold, showcasing historic buildings, vibrant promenades, and tranquil waterways.

Dilborn Water Castle was built in 1363. The owner lives here and also has his company headquarters in the castle. The rooms on the ground floor have been used by the Dilborn Castle Cultural Forum since 2003. Events such as theater, cabaret, and music take place there. Several sculptures can be admired in the adjacent park. A youth welfare facility that supports children and young people is attached to the castle.

A quick trip to the tourist information point to use the restroom...no problem, because the place is well-run and lined with various local animals. Just go in and enjoy everything it has to offer. The staff is friendly, too. It's worth 5 stars for me.
