The Hansa Coking Plant in Dortmund-Huckarde is an impressive industrial monument and one of the most authentic testimonies to the history of the Ruhr region. Among disused coke ovens, pipelines, and massive machinery, it becomes clear how closely technology, labor, and landscape were once intertwined. Today, the site is a fascinating place of transformation: industrial heritage meets wild vegetation, guided tours bring the working world of yesteryear to life, and elevated walkways offer impressive perspectives of the expansive grounds. https://www.merian.de/deutschland/nordrhein-westfalen/dortmund-sehenswuerdigkeiten#Kokerei-Hansa

Is this a tunnel under the "Alte Fahrt" or a canal bridge over the road?

Here the Lippe flows underneath the "Alte Fahrt".

Beautiful route 💪🏻

On this side, the bike path runs separately from the pedestrian path and somewhat away from the lake. It's quite uneven in places due to roots, but it's still a great bike path with views of the Kemnade Reservoir.
