The ski jump hasn't been so exposed for a long time; presumably, there hasn't been enough snow for quite a while.

An interesting structure: the ski jump is dilapidated and overgrown with trees. The steel frame is relatively intact, but the planks are rotten. Deep in the forest, you suddenly encounter this construction.

At the end of the reservoir, there's a great playground with an island and a raft, as well as a tavern. A lovely place to rest.

The path leads along the reservoir, offering beautiful views. There are shovels and rest areas available.

Unfortunately, the ravages of time are taking their toll on this historic site.

Saxony is, or rather was, covered with triangulation pillars for surveying. One of them stands clearly visible here on the Wendelstein mountain.

Surprisingly, the line was built as early as the 19th century. Railwaymen were required for the level crossings, including at this location. The foundation bears witness to this.
