The bench is in good condition and ideal for a rest stop. Gorse blooms here in May, and heather blooms in August.

Located on the Wakenitz River, this canoe rental station offers a variety of boats for rent. There's also a small cafe, a camping area, sleeping barrels, and small cabins for overnight stays. A path leads down to a rest area at Blankensee Lake with somewhat limited visibility. Caution: From there, a well-trodden path runs westward. After a short while, it becomes increasingly lost and overgrown, finally ending at a viewing point. There are unofficial exits from this pasture, but it's best not to use the path at all, especially since the pasture is private, even if it hasn't been used as such for some time.

The elevated rest area with bench is located on a cattle pasture with a great view over Lake Blankensee.
