a very weak recommendation, wouldn’t go out of my way to ride here but if your route calls for it, it’ll do, the asphalt is one endless runble strip at each one of the cars’ tyre tracks so you’ll end up riding either right in the middle of the lane or on the non-existent shoulder, not too busy but I had more close passes here than I usually do in a month, rolling hills and forest to no end, a few small lakes en route (but you’ll be too busy watching the asphalt and the traffic to enjoy the view)

great place to start or finish a ride in this general area, pretty quiet roads with typical lakeland scenery in all directions, trains to Helsinki and Kuopio/Oulu every 2–3 hours (but do keep in mind that Pendolino trains don’t carry bikes), summer cafe in the old goods depot
