The first documented mention of Dahme dates back to 1186. There was certainly already a church here at that time. Components and foundation remains inside St. Mary's suggest that it was a single-nave Romanesque building from that period. The church as it appears to visitors today was essentially rebuilt in the Baroque style between 1666 and 1701.

The granary is located near the ruins of the baroque castle. The granary was built in 1724 and is a listed building.

Apparently the restoration was aborted.

A small, sweet castle park with lots to discover: lake with island, playground, animals, waterfall. Open: April-September 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. October-March 7 a.m. to 7.30 p.m.

After mill operations ceased at the end of the 1960s, the mill technology fell into disrepair. When the bridge was renewed in 1995/96, the mill technology and the turbine were removed. A new Zuppinger water wheel was installed and also used to generate electricity. The mill building was renovated from 1996 to 1998

The Bachmühle in Görsdorf is another of 18 historic water mills on the Dahme. It was first mentioned in documents in 1658.
