A boardwalk leads through the wetland to a birdwatching hide. Inside you'll find information panels about the different bird species, a bench, and a table.

You can find several benches and tables close to the Observation Deck. The path connects with Sonnerup Skov and further along to Arrenæs.

There are canoes to hire for a trip and they have good coffee. Nice for a stop.

Nice place for a break with the opportunity to look for the local beaver.

In 1756, a gunpowder factory was established in Frederiksværk. It was the beginning of 2oo years of industrial history that formed the basis of the city's development.
