The parking lot was relatively full, as there's so much to do at this hotspot. A swimming lake, a barbecue hut with restrooms, and a shower house. The mountain bike trail, and so on... Parking is permitted on the shoulder of the main road in both directions, which was very convenient for us with our Sprinter van.

Østre Søbad at Almindsø near Silkeborg is one of Denmark's cleanest lakes. Here are two round, impressive bathing jetties right next to each other with a children's pool and facilities such as changing rooms, lovely benches, toilets and a sauna.

The Gudenå River in Jutland is the longest river in Denmark. Here, you can follow part of its course and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Here you can cycle next to the shores of Silkeborg Langsø, a stunning lake in the heart of Silkeborg.

The newly renovated Østre Søbad is beautifully located by Almindsø in Silkeborg. In addition to the lake bath, you will find, among other things, a mobile sales van with light snacks, a sauna, changing facilities and a popular sandy beach.

Kroghs Bænk is a 45 meter high vantage point in Vesterskov on the south side of Almind Sø.

Beautiful large pedestrian zone. Lots of art objects in the city.
