Very steep section, asphalted cycle path.

A beautiful, partly hilly Vltava cycle path, with flat sections and several climbs. Great views. Up to about 150 meters, the road is well paved.

It meanders serenely, through meadows, gentle and full of green. Its water, silvery, whisper-light, carries messages that no one sees. At Budweis, its course becomes so wide, as if the city were breathing alongside it. The bridges stand like silent sentinels, the sky paints its blue into the weave. The ships glide, heavy and gentle, laden with beer day and night. The banks greet us: tender willows, retaining their reflection in the river. And in the evening, as dusk falls, its shine merges with the twinkling of an eye. The Vltava dreams of a distant sea – but it will stay here… for a few more years!

By the quiet edge of a path, so simple, stands a bench covered with moss. It has waited there for a long time, for weary steps and joy. The forest rustles softly, green and dense, the Vltava whispers its poem. The sun paints a pattern of light through the splendor of leaves, onto the dark night. "Come, sit down, rest, forget everyday life, don't hurry home! See the falcon high in the wind, and breathe deeply – the moment slips away." But today it remains alone, no hiker laughs, no cyclist lingers. Only ants crawl softly over the wood of ancient splendor. But tomorrow... perhaps a guest will come, who misses out on their bread with a view here. The bench, it patiently waits – for everyone finds their way home eventually.
