Mdina, often called "The Silent City," is arguably one of the most fascinating and beautiful places in Malta. Nestled within imposing fortress walls, with cobblestone streets winding through a labyrinthine maze of alleyways, Mdina is almost like something out of a fairy tale. This historic city on the island of Malta is a place where time seems to have stood still, offering a glimpse into the past.

Rare piece of woodland in Malta. There's also an impressive castle nearby. If you're coming at this on bike from Rabat, you'll have a fun long descent, just take care on the initial hairpin turn as you enter and have your hands on the brakes as you'll need to be mindful of dog-walkers.
