The valley is located between Malý Žernoseky and Velemín, below the Lovoš hill. It leads through the river valley of the Milešovské stream for about 5 km and the valley reaches a depth of 50-100 m. Lovosic to Teplice, unfortunately it no longer runs due to landslides in 2013. There is also a bridge over the Opárenská údolí with a bridge of 275m. On the way through the valley you will come to the Opárenské mill, the construction of which dates back to 1649. Below the mill there is a cross stone with a stone with a plaque and an inscription from 1680 dedicated to the victims of the plague. Here you will also find the stone Imperial Stairs facing Lovoš at an altitude of 303m. It is also worth visiting the ruins of the Gothic castle Oparno, located in the village of the same name on Ostroh. The remains are preserved here original walkway and part of the castle palace. It was built in the first half of the 14th century, but since 1520 it has remained an uninhabited castle. The ruins are freely accessible.

Lovoš - A distinctive, 569 m high conical mountain northwest of Lovosice, it is the main dominant feature of Lovosice due to its massiveness, graceful shape, steep slopes and position above the flat plateau. The peak of Lovoš offers a wonderful and unrepeatable circular view not only of the Elbe Lowland and the České středohoží, but also of the peaks of more distant mountains. In 1892, the Lovosice mountain association, with the support of the owner of the estate, Prince Adolf Josef Schwarzenberg, built a small stone building with a flat roof, which also served as a viewing platform. This lookout tower was vandalized and finally set on fire by vandals in 1918. During the Second World War, the German army converted this original lookout tower into a military observatory. Its brick part is preserved to this day in the form of an unused stone plinth at the top of Lovoš. In 1924, a new cottage with a viewing platform, which is still standing today, was built in the immediate vicinity, named after the main patron of the event, Prince Jan Nepomuk Schwazenberg. Today it is owned by the Club of Czech Tourists in Lovosice and serves as a restaurant and tourist hostel. The cottage is open from Friday to Sunday and on holidays, otherwise possible by arrangement. It is possible to get to the top of Lovoš from several directions. From Lovosice, a green tourist trail climbs to Lovoš, which in places leads along a narrow footpath and a steep slope. A blue tourist sign leads directly from the village of Opárno to the top, which is accompanied for most of the way by an educational trail leading from Malé Žernoseke through the Opárenská údolí. In 1756, part of the Battle of Lovosice between Prussia and Austria took place on the southern slopes of Lovoš, part of the Seven Years' War. About 30,000 men fought on both sides, and the battle ended in an inconclusive Prussian victory.

From the terrace you will see a beautiful view of the Elbe valley near Lovosice and Litoměřice, Píšťanské Lake. Furthermore, the peaks of the Bohemian Central Mountains such as Milešovka, Kletečná, Lipská Hora, Košťálov Castle, Hazmburk Castle, Říp, Bezděz Castle, Ještěd, Radobýl etc... Sunrises and sunsets from Lovoš Hill are very romantic... Notice to visitors The cottage on Lovoš Hill is located at an altitude of 570m above sea level. Adapt your trip to the current weather. The cottage can provide you with the basic needs of shelter and a buffet. Unfortunately, during today's visit in December, the staff did not offer even hot soup or something small to eat. Only drinks. Too bad….
