BEWARE OF THE PRICES!!!! AUGUST 2025: A (thin) sandwich and a glass of tap water juice costs €10.50! That borders on extortion for me! Hike past; there are also regular alpine huts nearby with decent prices.

Only accessible on foot! Access by bike or car ends at the Breitlahn Hütte.

Nice hut with a view of the Schwarzensee. Own products: butter, milk, Styrian cheese. Quaint water wheel and petting zoo for the children. Reachable from the Breitlahnhütte on the forest road in half an hour. Open end of May - end of September.

Beautiful hike along the Schwarzenseebach to the Schwarzensee and on to the Putzentalalm. Many rest stops along the route: Breitlahnhütte, Zauneralm (a few minutes' walk behind the Breitlahnhütte), Harmeralm, Putzentalalm, Ringdorferhütte, Jageralm snack station.

Beautiful, easy hiking trail on the west side of Lake Schwarzensee. Don't be put off by the "Hard passable" sign. At the top of the path to the waterfall. Beautiful view of the opposite side of the lake, the mountains and the hunting lodge from the hiking trail. If you come from the Putzentalalm, the Harmeralm is at the end of the lake for a stop.

A worthwhile path from the car park to the alpine pasture, the area to the left and right of the path in this valley is simply wonderful. The path is gravelled throughout, so proper footwear is recommended; with simple shoes there is a risk of slipping on the rocky ground. A good meal awaits you at the Putztalalm and, above all, the many small animals are interesting for children to pet. In hot weather, the proximity to the damp rocks and the natural cooler air flow is very pleasant.
