Beautiful climb from the small mill up to Vorderschiffl. Continuous 6-8%. Nice asphalt, but very easy to ride, both uphill and downhill! Beautiful view of the Bavarian Forest/Bohemian Forest. Very little traffic.

The core of the tour is a mobile phone app that can be used to upgrade the visitor's smartphone to 3D glasses. The power generation with all additional systems takes place completely hidden under water or behind walls. With the free app "Energy Experience Jochenstein" and the handy virtual reality glasses, visitors discover hidden secrets of hydroelectric power generation. Visitors observe native fish on the Danube bed and discover the power plants' performance as garbage collectors. The highlight is the virtual ride in a Kaplan turbine.
