The crossing to Carinthia. In midsummer there are countless motorcyclists here, but in the pre- and post-season only a vehicle passes by every few minutes. However, the catering options are also very limited.

The Ludlalm is worth a visit! Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., kitchen open until 7 p.m. Playground, toboggan hill, small animals, children won't be bored here. The Ludlalm even has a registry office. Further information at www.ludlalm.de Attention: no WiFi, no mobile data in or around the Ludlalm, no card payments.

There are public toilets here. Or you can simply get up to the top of the mountain thanks to the lift. The bobsleigh run starts here too. A parking space is also available.

A nice ski swing. Apart from hotels and holiday homes, there isn't much here. But the location makes this ski resort quite special.

Important: be aware that this is a 500m climb with a gradient of more than 20%! This is almost impossible to drive while sitting (you almost have to drive in aero position so that the front wheel doesn't lift off). At the top the mountain becomes a little more bearable. So apart from the 20%, it's a very steep but consistent climb that demands everything from you. Unfortunately it's a ski area at the top and there's no really worthwhile view. But you have a very long descent into the Murr Valley ahead of you

At 1,763 meters above sea level, the snow-sure Turracherhöhe impresses with peaks up to 2,400 meters high and the natural jewel Turracher See. If you want to go high without skis, you can take the Panoramabahn at 2,000 m above sea level and enjoy a wonderful view of the high plateau of the Turracherhöhe and the surrounding Nockberge from the summit cross of the Panoramabahn. The spacious sun terrace of the AlmZeit hut invites you to linger.

I like driving steep ramps, I love such challenges! If you like it even steeper: Hirschbichl/Lofer 30%, Passo Forcella (Friuli) 28%, Alpe Fuori 32% (total: 5.5km with 1200m elevation gain...) to name just a few...
