Those who wish to explore the palace and its gardens can do so by bike, as cycle paths connect Linderhof Palace with the surrounding region, allowing for a relaxing tour through nature and culture.

Lake Plansee is a scenic lake that's perfect for a bike ride. A leisurely tour around the lake leads mostly along paved paths through forests and meadows, with magnificent views of the Ammergau and Lechtal Alps. Along the shore, there are natural bays for swimming and inns for refreshments. For more energetic cyclists, the tour can easily be extended to the neighboring Heiterwanger Lake, allowing for additional viewpoints and sights to be explored in the surrounding area.
