Liptovská Mara is the largest water reservoir in Slovakia, located in the Liptovská Basin, between the Tatras and the Low Tatras. The Váh (Slovak: Váh, Hungarian: Vág, Polish: Wag) is the longest river in Slovakia and, after the Danube and the Tisza, the longest river in the Carpathian Basin, with a length of 403 km (other counts 378 km).
