Beautiful view of the city gate.

The view from the UFO platform in Bratislava is spectacular and among the most impressive panoramic views of the city. At a height of approximately 95 meters, on the pylon of the Most SNP (Slovak National Uprising Bridge), you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Bratislava and far beyond. During the day, the view is wide and clear; at sunset, the city is bathed in warm light – a particularly atmospheric experience. At night, Bratislava reveals itself as a vibrant, modern capital with twinkling lights, illuminated streets, and the illuminated castle. The platform is accessible by elevator and offers not only a view but also a restaurant and a small bar – a place that uniquely combines architecture, views, and atmosphere.

Guided, 45-minute guided tours are available from the beginning of April to the end of October, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You will be guided through the premises by the same volunteers who have managed this facility since 2011. These tours are conducted every hour on the hour in Slovak and, upon request, in English.

The cellar facades feature flattened gables, typical of Burgenland's cellar lanes. A specific feature of the Edelstal cellar district, however, is the predominance of round gables.

These fortifications are not for everyone, historically yes, but also daunting.

The bunker B-S 4 Lány is a remnant of the Bratislava section of the Czechoslovak border fortifications from 1935-1938; currently there is a museum here.

The view of the Old City Gate opens up a picturesque setting: the massive stone walls, through which chariots and horsemen once passed, stand out against the sky and speak of times past. From here, the view sweeps over the cobbled avenue, lined with historic houses, to the modern skyline beyond the rooftops. An ideal photo stop to capture the fusion of medieval and contemporary Bratislava before continuing through the winding alleys of the Old Town.

The Slovak Radio Station is an unusual structure in the north of the city. It is shaped like an inverted pyramid and was completed in 1983. The imposing building is 80 meters tall and has been hailed as one of the 30 ugliest buildings in the world, a claim disputed by Slovak architects.
