Attention, this is an extremely dangerous place. You can never be too careful.

Impressive waterfalls with several pools, accessible with a bit of climbing. Some climbing aids have been anchored into the rock. However, since the waterfall is located near a road, you're rarely alone here. And there have been fatalities here, as the climb down to the lagoons is not without its dangers.

Beautiful, but crowded in July. There are nicer, less crowded swimming spots nearby.

The Leonte Waterfall appears when the waters of the Taleira stream fall from a granite cliff, plunging 19 metres into the bed of the Gerês River. However, in drier summers, nature imposes its own rhythm and the flow can disappear, transforming the waterfall into a temporary silence.

Located directly on the N308-1. Parking nearby is extremely difficult. The best way is to stop at the border and then walk back along the road (around 1 km).

Now we come to Portugal

Generally speaking, it's a beautiful pool, but because it's so central and easily accessible, it's also quite crowded. There are a few parking spaces, but when it's very busy, they're far from enough. There are certainly nicer and more relaxing pools. It's not ideal for lying or sitting either.
