피트 피터슨 공원은 미들랜드 베이에 바로 접해 있으며 해안 산책로를 따라 유용한 휴식처가 됩니다. 2.75헥타르 규모의 이 공원에는 해변, 화장실, 놀이터, 야구장, 공공 보트 발사대와 함께 산책로로 바로 연결되는 통로가 있습니다. 이 공원은 1950년대 미들랜드에 스키 점프대를 개발하는 데 도움을 준 피트 피터슨을 기념하여 1975년에 헌정되었습니다.

미들랜드 로터리 워터프런트 트레일은 마을 해안선을 따라 8km 이상 뻗어 있으며 트랜스 캐나다 트레일의 일부를 형성합니다. 가는 길에 미들랜드 시내를 항구, 공원 및 기타 해안 지역과 연결하며, 해석 표지판은 마을의 해양 및 산업 역사에 대한 정보를 제공합니다. 또한 페네탄기쉬네와 테이 방향의 더 긴 트레일 네트워크와도 연결됩니다.

미들랜드 베이는 조지언 베이의 잔잔한 만이며, 이 해안 산책로 구간에서는 물 건너편의 마리나, 보트, 맞은편 해안선을 자주 볼 수 있습니다. 이 만은 미들랜드 항구 역사와 밀접한 관련이 있지만, 오늘날에는 물새를 관찰하거나 해안가에 들르기에도 더 조용한 장소입니다. Pete Pettersen 공원 주변에서는 산책로가 특히 물가에 가깝게 이어집니다.

The Pretty River flows through forested valleys and farmland south of Collingwood to Nottawasaga Bay and is the second-largest river in the Blue Mountain watershed. Its cold waters provide important habitat for Rainbow Trout, Chinook Salmon, Speckled Trout, and Brown Trout.

The Pilkington Trail is a multi-use trail located in Collingwood and is part of the town’s local trail network. The route runs about 1.2 kilometers in length and connects the River Trail area to Highway 26 near the Pilkington Glass site. The trail is mostly flat with a gravel surface, making it ideal for walking, cycling, and running as it passes through a mix of natural areas and urban green space.

The Huronia Museum sits in Midland’s Little Lake Park and gives you an easy way to explore the history, art, and cultures that have shaped Central Ontario. Inside, you’ll find a wide‑ranging collection covering Indigenous history, maritime heritage, archaeology, and regional art, including works by members of the Group of Seven. One of the highlights is the replica Huron/Ouendat (Wendat) village, complete with a longhouse, lookout tower, and wigwam. Walking through it gives you a sense of daily life in a pre‑contact community and adds an immersive experience to the museum’s exhibits. The museum is open year‑round and is a welcoming stop whether you came here to learn, explore, or simply stubmled upon it while visit Little Lake Park.

This park sits on a peninsula jutting into Lake Huron near Penetanguishene. Across it's 2,915 hectares you'll find a wide array of ecosystems like mature woodlands, bog fens, coastal marshes, and dunes.
