The Cedar Creek Hiker-Biker Campground is one of several campsites free to GAP users. At this one, there is a grassy area for tents, picnic areas, fire rings, and drinking water. It is also possible to park at the campsite. If you want to leave your car overnight, you need to fill out a registration form at the registration kiosk to let the staff know you are on the GAP.

The West Newton Visitor Center is set in a replica of the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad’s 1910 train station that used to found the town. It is open Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and has maps, bathrooms, and a lot of interesting information about the GAP.

Turtle Creek runs for just over 21 miles through Westmoreland County. Here in Duff Park the trails cross the stream multiple times.

Duff Park is a great green park near Murrysville. The park has a flat bike trail, the Funk Bikeway, that runs along Turtle Creek. There are also some more challenging trails in the park. In addition to the bike trails, the park has picnic tables, a pavilion, and restrooms.

Nice view of Turtle Creek. The Westmoreland Heritage Trail follows the creek, so there are several good spots to see the creek. The trail crosses the creek via a bridge at this point, so it is an especially good viewing spot.

The Westmoreland Heritage Trail is a scenic rail-trail that follows the path of the former Turtle Creek Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The trail passes through diverse landscapes, including woodlands and farmlands. It features historical markers and interpretive signs, offering insights into the region's industrial and cultural heritage.

Designed with accessibility in mind, the walkway provides a gentle path around the park's lakes, allowing visitors of all abilities to enjoy the natural beauty.

The centerpiece of the park is its two namesake lakes. There is a 2.5-mile trail that winds around the two lakes, making it an ideal choice for walks, jogs, or bike rides.
