The path between this point and the hamlet of Tyvasaetra resembled a bog across which a herd of cows had been chased. The paths between Sandeåsen and Tyvasaetra, as well as from Loen towards Skala, are more recommendable.

The view back into the valley along the river at Bødalseter is simply stunning. The winding river carves its way through the lush green valley, with towering mountains rising dramatically on both sides.

The Bødalsseter huts are charming mountain huts in a breathtaking valley at the foot of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier. This remote spot offers great opportunities for wild camping, with plenty of space for tents, a common room for shelter, and even indoor accommodations. With fresh drinking water from the taps or nearby river, basic facilities, and solar lighting, it’s a perfect base to experience the raw beauty of the Norwegian wilderness—just remember to leave no trace!

Well-equipped campsite (including washing machine and dryer). With a mobile home you sometimes need a long cable because the power connections are quite widely distributed. But you can also borrow.

A narrow gravel path leads over small wooden bridges (without railings!) to the foot of the Kjenndalsbreen glacier. Beautifully landscaped! According to the sign at the beginning of the path, cycling is allowed here (not forbidden as Komoot writes).
