The Colorado River, with a length of approximately 2,333 km, is the most important river in southwestern North America. It originates in the Rocky Mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park in the state of Colorado. The trail is wide, wheelchair- and stroller-accessible, and runs along the young Colorado River in the Kawuneeche Valley. Here, it still flows as a relatively small river, where elk and moose are also frequented. Many informational panels provide insight into earlier life and the settlers.

A short walk from the large parking lot to Adam Falls. They are very easy to reach, and the path is well-maintained, although there are a few steps and rocks to climb. A circular trail has been created near the falls, which runs along the river.

Fraser River Trail has a total length of 6.3 miles between the town of Fraser and Winter Park. The marked segment follows the Fraser River (as the name indicates) and runs parallel to the Highway 40. The trail offers the possibility to connect the two towns without having to use a car and instead gives you the opportunity to enjoy beautiful nature, great views of the surrounding mountains and maybe even some wildlife encounters (beavers, moose, deer, birds...). Summed up: the perfect trail for families!
