A wonderful place with an indescribable view. Also some eagles 🦅 to spot.

This trail connects the Lower Truck Trail and Skyuka Trail, heading up the hill with views of the Chattanooga Valley. The trail features a steady incline, either uphill or downhill, winding around rocky ridges that may have small waterfalls during the rainy season.

Lower Truck Loop Trail features a mix of forest, rocky ridges, and views of the river. The trail is well-marked but less visited than other trails in Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, offering a chance for solitude. When combined with the Skyuka Trail, it becomes a longer hike, so plan ahead, wear proper hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water.

Must see Overlook, absolutely worth it. Sometimes very crowded due to the proximity of the main parking lot.

If you choose the Hemlock Falls, well then be prepared for approx more than 100 steps up and down. Otherwise choose the Cherokee Falls with much less stair steps 😅

Who would've thought, that 'Main Overlook' is located along 'Overlook Trail'? But joking aside, among the many overlooks along the trail, there is a reason why this one is called Main Overlook. It's probably one of the best views in the park and the good news is, it's not even a strenuous hike to get there!
