​Castle Rock Park spans 1.2 acres of coastal landscape and is named after a nearby castle-like private home. From the granite ledges, there are great Atlantic views. This park is a popular spot for photography, storm watching, and observing sailing races. Take the steps on the left side of the rock down to the tide pools.

The Rumney Marsh Reservation is a 600 acres state park on the edge of Melrose. The Northern Strand Community Trail runs through the park.

Nice surroundings, with grassy areas, ponds and a fountain, can work for a break while riding Endicott Drive.

Chain Bridge is the first bridge built over the Merrimack River, connecting Deer Island, a small island located in the middle of the river. The bridge has been open to travel since 1792, was rebuilt as a suspension bridge in 1810, and has been maintained as a toll bridge since 1828.

Pleasant Valley Road runs alongside the Merrimack River, providing views of the river, its surrounding wetlands, and green spaces. From this vantage point, you can also see Maudslay State Park on the opposite side of the river.

Bates Bridge spans the Merrimack River, connecting the neighborhood of Groveland. This large bridge links well-connected areas of Haverhill, traversing both urban zones and parks with river views, making it a good route for a smooth ride around the city.
