A steep route with a challenging climb up to Høgevarde. Wild strawberries and plenty of raspberries grow along the roadside at the end of July. The descent is an absolute delight!

This is the site of the oak tree known as The Old Master (Den Gamle Mester). This tree was made famous by the poetry of poet Jørgen Moe. In 1853 Moe became a resident chaplain in Sigdal and Krødsherad, a position he held for ten years. Yes, it’s going up there. Sometimes pretty stiff. But the surface is good, and it’s pretty idyllic between the rocks and trees. Private road, so no cars.
