The South Piney Creek Trail runs through limestone cliffs and follows Piney Creek. It is generally considered a moderately difficult trail, but it is definitely worth the effort, as the scenery is beautiful.

Once you make it to the top and reach Lake Angeline, you will forget very quickly about all the effort it took to get there. The lake is surrounded by stone cliffs and serves as a perfect photo motif. Have a nice break and enjoy the view before you head back.

Angeline Trail, in the south of Bighorn National Forest, leads to the lake of the same name. The trail starts right after the end of Forest Road 391 and ends at Lake Angeline. The path leads uphill almost all the way and there is an incline of approximately 2300 feet.

Willow Lake is the last and largest lake along Trail 87. It is a great place to take a break and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Rainy Lake is one of many lakes in Bighorn National Forest. Once you arrive, soak in the views of Bighorn Peak and Darton Peak in the background and enjoy the reflections of the beautiful landscape in the lake.

Sherd Lake is set within Cloud Peak Wilderness. It is a great spot for a picnic in the peaceful surroundings where the lake is found.

When hiking from Rainy Lake, it's about one mile more until you reach Willow Lake. As there is no trail leading further, this will probably be your point of return, so enjoy the views of the surrounding scenery during your break!
