Nestled along Round Lake, this beautiful preserve spans 243 acres and features a mix of wetlands, shorelines, and uplands. As you ride along the paved North-Western State Trail, you can enjoy spectacular views of the lake and the preserve, where you can see plenty of Scots Pine and trembling aspen. Keep an eye out for the Sandhill Crane, often seen in this area, along with many other unique plants and animals.

This path provides spectacular views of the lake, which looks fantastically blue on a sunny day. The path isn't particularly wide so it is more appropriate for a scenic cycle rather than a speedy one at the busier times of day.

Griffin Cove is just off the side of Lake Shore Boulevard and is catty-corner to Brown's Brook State Roadside Park. The cove features a beach area where you can view out onto Lake Huron and see the mainland of Michigan.
