Løvøya is a peninsula in the Oslofjord north of Horten in Vestfold, an hour's drive from Oslo. Løvøya lies in a warm and lush area. There is a distinctive geology and beautiful spruce forests with many exciting plant and animal species.

The café is a must when in Åsgårdstrand. Very comfortable and the service is friendly. We drank coffee and ate cake there and felt transported back to Munch's time.

If you are in the town, you should definitely visit the Edvard Munch House. It is a small museum and everything is still in its original condition. It is worth it!
