7월 16, 2025, Vigeland Sculpture Park
The Vigeland Sculpture Park, or Vigeland Sculpture Park, is an area within Frognerparken in Oslo dedicated to the permanent exhibition of sculptures, bas-reliefs, and wrought iron works by Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. The sculpture collection was created by Gustav Vigeland between 1920 and 1943, following Frognerparken's use as a public park during the Frogner Jubilee Exhibition in 1914. The sculpture complex constitutes the largest, but not the entire, part of Frognerparken, which also includes the Frogner Hovedgård mansion with the Henriette Wegner Pavilion, other areas of the park, Frognerbadet, Frogner Stadium, Frogner Tennis Courts, and refreshment stands.

Created around 1928 and installed in 1940, it stands about one meter high and has become an iconic symbol of Oslo, similar to Copenhagen's Little Mermaid or Brussels' Manneken Pis. The sculpture was originally called "Screaming Boy" but gained its current nickname in the 1940s and has since become a beloved tourist attraction and popular postcard motif.

Vigeland first sketched this design as early as 1901, and his son later made unauthorized copies of an earlier version, creating additional "junior casts" of the famous figure.

7월 17, 2024, View of the Munch Museum
In addition to the impressively good and comprehensive exhibition on Munch's works and life, it is also worth mentioning that the museum has a restaurant on the 12th floor. From there, a staircase leads to the rooftop bar, with an outdoor terrace and 🤩 views of the city and harbor. The bar and restaurant are also open after the museum's visiting hours have ended.

7월 17, 2024, Festung Akershus
In order to protect the city of Oslo against attackers from the sea, Håkon V had a castle built on a rocky outcrop around 1299. This was gradually expanded into a fortress and the castle was replaced by a palace. King Christian IV (1588–1648) had it modernized in the Renaissance style and made it his royal residence. Today there is a military museum, the resistance museum and the burial place of the Norwegian royal family. The unique Vigeland Sculpture Park is the life's work of the sculptor Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943), with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland also designed the park's design and architectural form. A work about the cycle of life that is well worth seeing.
