There is a great overlook of a cove feeding into the bayou. There are a few different viewpoints that offer different perspectives, but this is probably the most popular overlook in this small section of the Gulf Islands Seashore.

In the early 1700s, Fort Maurepas served as the capital of French Louisiana before being destroyed by fire. While the exact location remains unknown, the replica found here represents the history and discovery of this area.

Lakeshore Beach boasts sugar-white sand, gentle waves, and stunning sunsets, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and fun. Just south of the beach, you can find the Silver Slipper Casino Hotel for an evening of entertainment.

This pier extends into the southern end of the Bay of Saint Louis at the intersection of North and South Beach Boulevards. It is also located at the end of the Beach Boulevard Boardwalk Trail and is normally a turnaround point for trail users. There are great views into the bay and the ocean from here.

Unlike many beaches along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Clermont Harbor Beach has avoided much development, leaving it with a more natural and secluded feel. This makes it a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet of the ocean.
