From Targhee Pass it is just 9 miles east to the town of West Yellowstone. For an easy day in/out of town, there are ample camping options littering the trail for about one mile headed north from the pass!

The 360 degree views experienced while traversing the ~3 miles surrounding the hill called Lionhead are absolutely unreal. Anywhere your gaze falls, be it up to Lionhead or down to Hebgen Lake, you are sure to be left humbled and in awe!!

Wow! What a climb! Headed southbound, the ascent to Targhee Divide had better grades than I did in high school! Targhee Divide offers beautiful views to the north and south. Summiting Targhee Peak is also possible by taking the ridgewalk to the southeast followed by a short scramble to the top!

Lamont Station is one of the old stops of the abandoned railroad line of the Teton Valley Branch. This railroad used to connect the villages of Ashton, Drummond, Lamont, Tetonia, Driggs and Victor.

Warm Creek Butte offers elevated views of the surrounding Targhee National Forest. There are bears in the area so call out for bears, ride with a friend, and bring bear spray!

At Big Springs is a great place to turn around or take a dip in the river to cool off. This trail goes along the Great Divide route and is flat singletrack most of the way. This trail would be great for an easy ride, or a good place to get in some speed work training.

Scenic and teaming with wildlife Harriman State Park's Silver lake is a great place to ride on your way to/from Yellowstone. Or, you could stay for a while and avoid the crowds of the more famous neighbor while still have an incredible outdoor experience.
