Sparks Marina is perfect for runners with its wide, 2 mile path around the lake. In summer you can cool off after your run with a swim as the water is fed 2-3 million gallons of fresh water daily through an underground aquifer. Sunset runs here are epic with the fire red sky contrasting against the mountains all around you.

Located roughly halfway up Geiger Grade Road this lookout may have the best views over Reno and across to the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Originally financed and built by Davison M. Geiger in 1862, this old toll road is nearly a must-do for any cyclist in the Reno area.

The Truckee River runs right through the center of Reno and provides miles of trails in both directions. Everything along the river is part of the Tahoe to Pyramid bike trail that parallels the Truckee River from its source in Tahoe City to its end at Pyramid Lake.
