From this roadside pull-off next to Wallis Sands State Beach, you get a beautiful unobstructed view of the Atlantic, with the Isles of Shoals hovering on the horizon like a mirage. Right off the Londonderry Rail Trail, Hood Park is a great place for a break. Right next to Hoods Pond, there is a beach facing the water so you can sit and take in the views. There are also some nice trails around the pond that are open to the public.
