The Woodland Trails Park is a great park in Elk River. It is a 430-acre nature preserve with woods, prairies, and wetlands. There are several miles of trails, both paved and grass, that cut through the park.

Lion's Park is a beautiful green space on the edge of Zimmerman. The park has ball fields, a disc golf course, several walking paths and picnic areas.

The Great Northern Trail is an 8.5 mile long trail from Zimmerman to Elk River. It is fully paved and flat, so it is not a challenging trail to walk. This section takes you into Zimmerman. It is a beautiful section through woodland and past several ponds.

The Beaver Island Trail is a beautiful 5-mile long trail. It follows the Mississisppi River from St. Cloud. The trail is paved and gives you great views of the water.

Nice view of the St. Cloud Hydroelectic Facility and dam. From the trail, you also get a great view of the Mississippi River.

The Anoka Nature Preserve features over 200 acres of woodlands, meadows, and forests. Wide gravel trails pass through the property, making this a great spot to check out on two wheels.

This paved trail follows the course of the Rum River from the city of Anoka to the county border. Along its route, you'll pass through several parks and points of interest, making it an ideal trail to explore the area on your bike.
