Lower Mount Cammerer Trail is the longer route from Cosby Campground up to the Appalachian Trail and Mt. Cammerer. You can create a long looping hike with Lower Gap Trail.

A steep and quite strenuous climb up to the Appalachian Trail or descent down to Cosby Campground. Take it serious because there's part of over 20-25% incline/decline.

A simple but useful shelter on the AT. In comparison to other shelters I've seen this one has a fence to lock out wildlife. Other shelters were more open concept :)
