Fort Klock is a fortified homestead was built around 1750 by Johannes Klock. It was used as a trading post during the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1972.

One of several locks on the Erie Canalway Trail. It is a great place for a break, as there is water and picnic benches. It is also a popular camping spot for touring cyclist riding the Erie Canalway Trail.

The Fonda, Johnstown & Gloversville Rail Trail is a 10-mile paved trail that, as the name suggests, runs from Gloversville to Johnstown. The trail runs through a mix of urban and rural landscapes and is popular with cyclists, walkers and runners.
