The house was open during the week, demonstrating two rooms furnished as a 19th-century tavern, and a staff member or volunteer was happy to answer questions. It's located directly on the main street and has parking right next to it. Please stop by.

This is the site of the Battle of Blackburn's Ford (also known as the Skirmish at Blackburn's Ford) which took place in 1861. It was an important battle in the Civil War and was the precursor to the First Battle of Bull Run.

This historic double-arched bridge marks the eastern trailhead for Manassas National Battlefield. There is a rocky beach that takes you down to the water.

Fountainhead Regional Park's mountain bike trails offer nearly 15 miles of single-use loops with features like steep climbs, rock gardens, and fast descents. The trail system includes beginner, intermediate, and advanced loops, with the black loop featuring rock step-ups, wooden turns, and jumps. Trails are directional, designed for clockwise travel only, and helmets are required here. The park closes at dark or when the trail is wet. Managed by NVRPA, the park’s trail was developed through partnerships and has earned a reputation as some of the area's most challenging rides.

The Stone House, positioned at the crossroads of the historic Warrenton Turnpike and Manassas-Sudley Road, played witness to pivotal moments during the First and Second Manassas battles. The house is open seasonally, and it is cool to explore it and its historical significance.

The Manassas National Battlefield Park Visitor Center serves as a gateway to the historic site commemorating two significant battles of the American Civil War: the First Battle of Bull Run (also known as the First Battle of Manassas) in 1861 and the Second Battle of Bull Run (Second Manassas) in 1862. Located in Prince William County, Virginia, the Visitor Center offers visitors a wealth of information about the battles, including exhibits, artifacts, interactive displays, and educational programs.

This scenic section of the Bull Run Occoquan Trail runs through Hemlock Overlook Regional Park and connects to some of the other trails in the park's network. There is a pretty cool view from the remains of the old dam at the southern end of this trail section.
