Fantastic views. Unfortunately, completely overcrowded.

Good opportunity to rest, but busy.

The Bayview Campground would offer a good parking lot. However, it is now closed until Spring 2025. Maybe one has to consider parking along the street during day trips.

Brown's Ravine Recreation Area is a series of trails on the banks of Folsom Lake. There are several miles of trails to choose from that wind through a beautiful forest.

Tahoe Mountain Trail is a hard packed dirt segment navigating through a mix of shaded forest and exposed mountain side. The trail is popular with hikers, runners, and cyclists. While a xc hard tail would be ideal, a gravel bike or really anything with larger tires would be fine.

The Lakeview Commons is a nice beach to stop at to grab some pictures and enjoy the views. This very popular large beach allows you to walk out to the water and see the stunning view of the surrounding mountains. In the summer months, there are concessions here.

Fallen Leaf Lake is a great spot to visit to enjoy incredible views and take a swim. The clear blue water is home to a plethora of recreational activities including paddleboarding, swimming, boating, and kayaking. The shores are lined with trails for cycling and hiking, and there are a number of great spectating spots along the way.

Angora Creek Valley is a scenic place to stop on a ride to enjoy the views of the narrow creek bed, grassy marshes, and mountain views. The water flows down from the Angora Lakes and eventually makes its way into Lake Tahoe.
