A bird paradise and natural spectacle

A really nice little beach with benches, a fire pit, and an information board. Unfortunately, my spot was completely taken over by canoeists, as the official rest area for canoeists in the north was occupied by German booze-hungry tourists. Annoying.

Although you are walking on a paved road here, the birch forest around you is all the more beautiful.

Here is probably the only well-preserved and visible relic from the old settlement of Nydala on the island of Marsholm.

Since the rest area no longer exists, you can only see the lake. To get there, you have to make your way to the shore (see photo 1). There, you actually have a beautiful view. Everything on the small headland itself is overgrown (see photo 2).

Don't be fooled. The rest area no longer exists. There's no bench or similar seating. The small headland leading into the lake is completely overgrown. Here, you can only enjoy the uninterrupted view of the lake. Taking a break is no longer really possible.
