A beautiful spot and a great starting point for bike tours. There are plenty of rental companies there. E-bikes are quite expensive though, ~$75 per day.

On the west side of the island stands the historic Gay Head Light in Aquinnah, the first lighthouse on Martha's Vineyard, built in 1796. The lighthouse was in danger of falling over the edge of the Gay Head Cliffs as a result of centuries of erosion and the direct effects of climate change. In order to save it, it had to be moved to another location. After five years of efforts, funding for the rescue effort was secured. With soft, golden sand and shallow water, Joseph Sylvia State Beach is a popular hangout spot on Martha's Vineyard. The beach extends 5 miles (8 km) between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. It's public and not privately owned like many of the island's beaches. On one side, the Atlantic Ocean glistens into the horizon and on the other, Cow Bay stretches around the coast. It's popular for windsurfing and kitesurfing when the weather is right.

Menemsha is a quaint fishing village nestled in Chilmark. Situated on the east coast of Menemsha Pond, right by the opening into Vineyard Sound, this village is steeped in history. The iconic harbor, serving as a departure point for local fishermen, including those from multi-generational fishing families, and charter boats heading to the Elizabeth Islands.

Moshup Beach is situated in the heart of the Aquinnah Headlands Preserve. Featuring fine white sands and smooth rocks, this idyllic spot provides a picturesque backdrop with waves crashing along outer Vineyard Sound, framed by the iconic Gay Head Cliffs. The beach covers just about a half-mile.

Chilmark is a charming, historic town with a lovely center that is home to New England Treasures. It is a lively spot, especially during March when the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival is held here. Chilmark boasts the highest point on Martha's Vineyard.
