Regarded as one of The Catskills’ greatest lookouts, Inspiration Point truly lives up to the name. Still, don't let the name fool you as there isn't just a single viewpoint on the trail. In fact you'll have many excellent views as you make your way up and down the mountains.

The last part of the hike to reach this viewpoint is quite a scramble, but the views are incredible. Be careful: You get such incredible views from this place because it's truly a ledge, with exactly the sort of long, steep drop-off that implies.

Though the falls are relatively short, at only 15 feet, they are in a stunning location and make for great photos. Keep in mind that the falls may be easy to access the trail has plenty of rocks and can be slippery so proper footwear is essential. Rumor has it that this location served as a hideout for bandits in the area, earning it the name Badmans Cave. Although it's not technically a cave but more of a shelter, it remains a cool place with a unique history.

North Lake is situated in Haines Falls and surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Catskill Mountains. The lake is a popular starting point for hikers as multiple trails, such as the Escarpment Trail, start from here. If you are looking for a shorter hike, the lake itself is surrounded by a beautiful trail.

The Hudson River Skywalk is a paved walkway and bike path that crosses over the Hudson River, connecting the city of Hudson to the town of Catskill. The path travels alongside Rip Van Winkle Bridge, which also crosses over Rogers Island Wildlife Management Area and the banks of Hamburg. Though it isn't the quietest walkway ever, this is a super cool path across the bridge that offers great views down the river.
