This walk takes you through everything that Nantucket has to offer, the beach, the inland lakes, the vegetation and a small hill with a beautiful view. The wildlife ranges from dragonflies to deer and the walk takes you through all types of vegetation. Walking along the beach is hardergoing as the sand absorbs you footsteps but worth it as the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea is wonderful

You can drive on this beach but you need a Beach Permit but free parking at the start. I would class this as an expert walk because walking in the sand is hard work as the sand absorbs you footsteps, but well worth it when you get to the end of the island and the lighthouse. There is a protected area for the birds and they are varied and majestic, especially watching the ducks dive through the waves on the shoreline.

The Old Mill is a historic windmill located on Prospect Street that was constructed back in 1746. Notably, this windmill is the oldest functioning mill in the United States. In 1992, it was also designated as a Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

A lot of the dirt roads in this area lead to the coast where there is public beach access. Since they aren't official beaches, there aren't amenities or anything, but you still get great views of the bay.

Quidnet is a hamlet located at the eastern end of Nantucket with views of Sesachacha Pond, Sankaty Lighthouse, and the Atlantic Ocean. The beach of the saltwater Sesachacha Pond is more protected from winds keeping the water warm and calm. This make this location popular for families with children as well as for windsurfers and boaters.

Long Pond was connected to Hither Creek and Madaket Harbor by a canal that was installed in 1665. Historically, it was a way of harvesting blueback herring and American eels that spawned and lived in the pond. Today, Long Pond is a fishing spot and a relaxing body of water to enjoy.
