At 1,500 acres, Prettyboy Reservoir is a huge lake in Maryland. The WMA it's a part of totals 7,380 acres and is home to tons of species of fish, birds, and plants. There are a number of bridges that you can bike across and get views of the water.

North Point State Park expands for an impressive 1,310 acres along the shoreline of Chesapeake Bay. Over half of the park is protected wetlands hosting a variety of wildlife species including muskrats, beavers, foxes, otters, osprey and more.

This is a beautiful forested singletrack that follows the shoreline of the Loch. From the southernmost point you can see the dam across the water. A true gem of a trail!

At over 1,000 acres, Oregon Ridge Nature Center has a pretty sizable trail network that is signed really well. There is a lake on the property, but most of the trails just spend their time winding through the trees.

Prettyboy Dam is damming up 19 billion gallons at Prettyboy Reservoir. The reservoir provides more than 60% of Baltimore's drinking water and is owned by the city of Baltimore even though it's in the county.

Covering 1,310 acres along the Chesapeake Bay shoreline, North Point State Park boasts extensive wetlands that safeguard diverse wildlife like muskrats, beavers, foxes, otters, and ospreys. You can head further into the wetland on foot on the Black Shore Trail or simply continue to cycle into the park on the paved Bay Shore Road

The Morgan Mill Trail is situated in the southern part of the Loch Raven Reservoir Cooperative Wildlife Management Area. While hiking through the forest, you can enjoy multiple great viewpoints of the Loch Raven Reservoir and its surrounding landscape.

The Marshy Point Nature Center is situated between Dundee Creek and Saltpeter Creek and features multiple hiking trails from the Nature Center's parking lot. They lead through the marshlands of the area and offer spectacular vistas over the water from various viewing points.
