Ugglekojan is a small, rustic forest shelter inside Paradiset Nature Reserve — perfect as a backup hut if you’re hiking or camping nearby. It’s usually free to use and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so bring your own sleeping gear and don’t rely on finding it empty. There’s a wood stove inside, but you’ll need to collect your own firewood. The lake and nearby fire pits make it a great spot for a quiet overnight in the woods close to Stockholm.

Within the small area, you find multiple fire spots with fire logs available for making fire. This is one of the best area for always have woods to make fire. You can find lot of visitors who will pass by but it is never busy in paradiset nature reserve. The route is easy to follow with clear paths and sights. You can park cars from multiple locations which can differentiate your route and path. No noise from roads and cars

In 1822, Otto Julius Hagelstam bought Lissma farm from Karl XIV Johan. Hagelstam was a very active man who, among other things, participated in the development of Swedish agriculture. Soon after the purchase, he mapped the lake systems in the surrounding area and nearby parishes. The aim was to establish a common transport system via lakes and dug canals to bring agricultural products and timber to Stockholm. Canals were already in place at this time, including the Göta Canal, which was under construction. The planned system began at what is now called the Wailing Wall. The idea was that the water, which normally flows to both Öran and Trehörningen, would be led towards Trehörningen and further towards the planned canal system. This led to widespread protests from those who no longer received any water. The entire canal idea was also stopped, among other things through the willing assistance of “Årsta-frun” Märta Helen Renstierna. Paradise for bird watching enthusiasts either from the bird tower or from the jetty that extends into the lake. Especially known for observing the Western Yellow Wagtail.
