Warren House and Warren's Store is a historic house and store in Prospect Hill, North Carolina. It was built in 1858 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. You can buy all kinds of snacks and goodies here, including some local BBQ; it's a great place to stop as you ride around the area.

Quail Roost Lake Number One is a small lake right off of Wilkerson Road. This is a peaceful spot to ride past as you explore the area. Be on the lookout for turtles and other animals in the spring as they cross the road to lay their eggs and travel to one of the many other ponds in the area.

Oxford is a quaint community with a historic downtown. The town offers a diverse range of shops and restaurants, as well as an abundance of recreational opportunities.

Created by a damn in 1988, the Little River Reservoir in Durham is the main source of water for the town as well as a lovely hub for outdoor activites.

Lake Michie is not the biggest of lakes at 480 acres, but it is a good recreational lake for kayakers and fishermen. This is also the only bridge on Lake Michie, and a fine one it is too. The views over towards the tree lined shores and the narrow arms of the lake are great here. It makes for a super good bike section.

Whitfield Pond is a tiny pond just off of Union Grove Church Road. This is a nice place to slow down on your ride and look for birds and other wildlife as you ride through this quiet area of north-central North Carolina.
