The power of the Rogue River crashing through the basalt is well worth the stop. Longer hike routes along the Upper Rogue River trail are available from this trailhead.

Del Rio Vineyards is surrounded by gardens and views of the majestic hills surrounding Gold Hill. It is an excellent place to stop after a long ride, where you can relax in the cozy atmosphere of the tasting room, a former 1864 hotel.

The Wimer Bridge, which spans Evans Creek, has a long history. It was built in 1882, replaced in 1927, refurbished in 1962 and again in 1985. The bridge collapsed in 2003, and in 2008, the current bridge was opened, having been constructed following the original truss design. The bridge remains an important landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a perfect spot to stop and take some memorable photos.

McKee Bridge, also known as Applegate River Covered Bridge, is a magnificent historic landmark in Oregon. This beautiful bridge was constructed in 1917 and is the second oldest and tallest covered bridge in the state. It was originally built to serve mining and logging traffic until 1956, after which it was converted into a pedestrian-only bridge. In recognition of its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Located just off the main road, the bridge is easily accessible and offers stunning views of the Applegate River. There is a day use area with a refreshing swimming hole, making it the perfect spot to cool off on a hot day.

Applegate Lake is a lovely reservoir situated in the Rogue River–Siskiyou National Forest in Oregon, right next to the Californian border. It's known for its clear waters, surrounded by lush forests and scenic mountain landscapes.

This small reservoir is located near Kestrel and Meadowbrook Park. Nestled in the grass near the edge of the road, it looks like a tiny oasis amid the green landscape.

This road is a nice ride with minimal traffic that winds along farmlands surrounding the Ashland area. It is a pleasant route where you can enjoy the surrounding foothills and long white fences enveloping the beautiful properties as you pass by.
