This 5,000-acre state park is home to Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir, with a trail system surrounding the lake and a campground on the north end of the park. It is a popular spot for swimming, boating, and fishing and is a part of the Ohio-wide Buckeye Trail.

Towner's Woods is home to the 539-acre Lake Pippen and the Towner Mound. The mound was created by the people from the Hopewell Culture that thrived along the Eastern Woodlands and Great Lakes Region and further south to the Gulf Coast and Florida. Not a single society or tribe, the Hopewell were connected by a vast trade network across pre-contact America.

The Prairie Trail in the Springfield Bog Metro Park offers a nice nature experience and meanders through the park's wetlands, showcasing diverse flora and fauna. Enjoy the peaceful environment, while hiking through the area and looking out for birds.

The Munroe Falls is a little waterfall along the Cuyahoga River that can be seen from this location, close to the Bike and Hike Trail.

The Bike and Hike Trail spans approximately 34 miles and connects the cities of Akron and Bedford. This section follows the Cuyahoga River near Munroe Falls and leads through parks and along various bodies of water.

Aurora Sunny Lake Park is a park that consists mostly of Sunny Lake. There is a 1.75-mile paved path around the lake as well as other unpaved nature trails in the park. The park has public restrooms, picnic shelters, and an off-leash dog park area.
