Standing tall at 151 feet, the Deeds Carillon is a landmark that dominates the skyline of Dayton, and boasts the title of the largest musical instrument in the entire state. Be sure to catch one of the free daily concerts performed by a skilled carillonneur, filling the air with beautiful melodies at 10 am, noon, 2 pm, and 5 pm.

Originally constructed in the mid-1800s, the bridge faithfully served its purpose by carrying horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians across Little Sugar Creek. Today, the Carillon Park Covered Bridge stands proudly relocated within the historical park.

The park is becoming a popular venue for hosting community events. From free concerts and lively carnivals to family-friendly gatherings like "Touch-a-Truck" and the "Rock 'n Green" Tomato Festival. Kids can have a blast on the expansive 7,600-square-foot playground, while adults can relax under the shade of swinging benches overlooking the scenic river.

Along with views of the Miami River at the trail junction with the Great Miami River Recreation Trail, there is also a small pond off the side of the trail near the Crains Run Nature Park trailhead. There is lots of parking in the parking lot and a playground for the kids.

This well-preserved wooden structure showcases classic covered bridge architecture, with its weathered gray planks and pitched roof giving it a cabin-like appearance.

The Dewitt Log Cabin, built by Zachariah Price Dewitt around 1805, is the oldest remaining structure in Oxford Township. Dewitt, a Dutch-American pioneer, became a prominent figure in the early community, establishing a sawmill and contributing to Oxford's development. Restored by the Oxford Museum Association, it now serves as a historical landmark. The restoration, completed in 2003 for Ohio's bicentennial, included repairing original timber walls, reconstructing the limestone chimney, and adding period-appropriate features. A nearby smokehouse was also restored.

Founded in 1791 as Fort Hamilton, the city transitioned into an agricultural and trading hub. The innovative Hamilton Hydraulic System, completed in 1845, harnessed water power from the Great Miami River, attracting industries like the Beckett Paper Company. This paved the way for further industrial growth, including Henry Ford's tractor factory after WWI. Hamilton has three historic districts reflecting its diverse heritage. Though impacted by the 1913 flood and economic shifts, the city is revitalizing through an arts-centered downtown renaissance. Initiatives like the RiversEdge amphitheater, Marcum Park, and public art installations enhance residents' quality of life. Hamilton takes pride in providing competitive utilities and award-winning drinking water.

The Great Miami River Trail is a 93-mile paved, multi-use trail that closely follows the Great Miami River for nearly its entire route. The trail offers a diverse experience, passing through urban skylines, charming historic downtowns, picnic areas, acres of natural parklands, and gently rolling terrain. Along the way, trail users can enjoy beautiful river vistas and access nearby attractions like museums. With its paved surface suitable for various activities, the Great Miami River Trail caters to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts, providing a unique opportunity to explore the region's natural and cultural landmarks.
