An interesting place on the outskirts of Wanaka featuring optical illusion rooms, mazes & a cafe with table puzzles. Geared towards families but I still enjoyed it as an adult!

Great hostel with views of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains. Right in the heart of Wanaka with the excellent Cinema Paradiso close by.

Lovely little independent cinema with a cafe. A great 'living room' style movie experience.

Unfortunately we couldn't stay here, but it's worth being here.

Lovely log fire

Great place for a beer, some hot chips, or a mulled wine in winter. The garden is lovely for sunny days, otherwise you can sit inside next to the big open fire.

Busy in summer but nice for the rest of the year. Next to the campsite there is a nice park to rest, have a picnic or go for a swim.

Stay the night, eat and drink.

Great ride along the river! Quite narrow in places, with both cyclists and walkers using the track in both directions.

In nice weather a welcome change. The water is mostly cold by European standards. The kiwis do not care. I-Site and Nee Worldwide Supermarket nearby.
